Ozark United FC Academy
Tax status: for-profit
Overview
Ozark United FC Academy is the youth development arm of Ozark United FC, an upcoming professional soccer club based in Rogers, AR. OUFC plans USL Championship (men’s) kickoff 2027 and USL Super League (women’s) launch late 2027. The academy launched May 2024 with a U20 boys team and expanded February 2025 to include U13-U19 boys teams competing in MLS Next (Pioneer Conference) in partnership with sporting-arkansas. The OUFC project includes a $250-350M mixed-use entertainment district on 36 acres in the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers.
Financials
Operated as part of Ozark United FC (for-profit professional club in formation). No public youth academy P&L. Founding Youth Academy sponsors (July 2025) include Unilever, Arkansas Children’s, and America’s Car-Mart.

Leadership
- chris-martinovic — Co-founder, OUFC
- ross-cully — Key investor
Competitive Position
First and only MLS Next program in Arkansas. Structural advantage: professional club parentage with first-team pathway starting 2027. Expected to draw the state’s elite boys-side talent; likely displaces arkansas-rising’s top players from Central Arkansas over time.
Investment Thesis
Not acquirable — OUFC is a private professional project with institutional investors. Strategically relevant as:
- Competitive threat to any Arkansas-based platform play
- Possible future partner for pathway arrangements (similar to how MLS academies partner with non-MLS clubs)
- A signaling event — Arkansas has become professionalized faster than peer Deep South states, which narrows SYNRGY’s window.
Open Questions
- Full LP investor disclosure (beyond Martinovic, Smith, Cully)
- Long-term plans for sporting-arkansas partnership — absorption or arms-length affiliate?
- Stadium district timeline (current: 2027 kickoff)
- 2026-27 academy age expansion
- USL Super League women’s pathway — will OUFC field a girls academy / GA program?
