North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA)
Overview
NCYSA is the US Youth Soccer (USYS) member state association for North Carolina, governing recreational and competitive youth soccer statewide. One of 54 USYS state associations. Administers the NC State Cup, NC State League, and ODP (Olympic Development Program). North Carolina is one of the largest and fastest-growing youth soccer markets in the Southeast, with the Triangle, Charlotte, and Triad sub-markets each supporting elite-pathway clubs.
Structure
Manages boys and girls divisions from recreational through state cup competitive tiers across age groups U9–U19. The annual NC State Cup is the primary qualifying pathway for USYS regional and national events. ODP identification program feeds into regional and national player pools.
Player Pathway
State competition sits beneath national platforms (ecnl, mls-next, girls-academy). NCYSA State Cup winners advance to USYS Regional Championships and potentially USYS National Championships.
