Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA)

Overview

OYSA is the US Youth Soccer (USYS) member state association for Oregon. One of 54 USYS state associations. Governs recreational and competitive youth soccer statewide. Oregon is a small-to-mid Pacific Northwest market; the Portland metro area is the primary soccer hub, with significant Timbers FC youth academy influence.

Structure

Boys and girls divisions from recreational through state cup competitive tiers across age groups U9–U19. Annual OYSA State Cup qualifies for USYS Regional and National Championships.

Player Pathway

State competition sits beneath national platforms (ecnl, mls-next, girls-academy). The Portland Timbers Alliance semi-monopoly on MLS pathway players shapes the competitive landscape for OYSA member clubs. ECNL-RL Far West division launching 2026–27 will affect the regional competitive structure.
