Amos Magee

Role

Head of Development & Player Pathway, Minnesota United FC Academy (title as of June 2024; previously Vice President of Youth Development). Manages the Academy coaching staff and oversees the pathway from youth soccer through MNUFC2 to the MLS first team.

Background

Saint Paul native who starred at Saint Paul Academy, then Wesleyan University (all-time leading scorer). Spent most of his professional playing career with the Minnesota Thunder (USL), becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer before retiring in 2004. Returned to the Thunder as Head Coach (2006–2008). Joined Portland Timbers as Director of Soccer Development (2009) and later the MLS first-team coaching staff and reserve head coach (2011) when Portland entered MLS.
