Nomads Summer Challenge

Overview

The Nomads Summer Challenge is a youth soccer tournament hosted by Nomads SC in San Diego, California. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 20–21. Age groups span advanced through recreational competitive divisions (6U–19U). The event is one of several summer tournaments Nomads organizes as the club serves a large San Diego youth player base.

Ownership & Operations

Operated by Nomads SC (Nomads Soccer Club & Academy), a major youth soccer organization in San Diego County. Nomads runs multiple seasonal tournaments, including separate invitational events during summer. Tournament logistics are managed in partnership with Soccer Tournament Specialists (STS).

Sanctioning

Sanctioned by US Club Soccer; open to competitive teams registered in good standing with USSF affiliates.

Reputation & Tier

Tier 3–4 regional summer event serving the San Diego metro market. Entry deadline for 2026 is approximately May 25.

Notes

Nomads also runs a separate “Nomads Summer Invitational” event (August 15–16, 2026) targeting a broader age range — the two tournaments are distinct entries in the SoCal summer calendar. The club website and STS platform are the primary registration sources.
