Dynamo MVP Tournament

Overview

The Dynamo MVP Tournament is a youth soccer event hosted by Dynamo FC in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2026 edition runs May 8–10 at Lawrence Park, with all games consolidated at one site through a partnership with FC Pride, which provides field and parking capacity. The tournament serves boys and girls 7U–14U teams and has grown steadily — from 116 teams in 2021 to approximately 235 teams in 2025, making it one of Indiana’s larger small-sided and competitive youth events in the spring window.

Ownership & Operations

Hosted by Dynamo FC, an Indianapolis-based youth soccer club with roots in the mid-1970s Indiana soccer scene. The tournament is named in honor of Mike Vogel, a founding member of Dynamo FC who was instrumental in shaping Indiana youth soccer. Registration is administered through GotSport / GotSoccer.

Economics

Entry fees consistent with Great Lakes regional youth events ($500–$800 per team depending on age and format). The single-site format at Lawrence Park simplifies logistics for both hosts and participants. Growth from 116 to 235 teams over four years suggests strong regional demand and effective club marketing.

Sanctioning

US Club Soccer sanctioned per the US Club Soccer sanctioned tournament list (2026).

Reputation & Tier

Regional Tier 3–4. Strong local draw in central Indiana with multi-state reach. The tournament’s consistent growth trajectory and named-memorial framing give it above-average retention among returning clubs.

Notes

Dynamo FC’s collaboration with fc-pride for field access reflects a common pattern in the Great Lakes market where multi-club facility sharing enables larger tournament footprints than any single club could manage independently.
