Wild West Shootout
Overview
The Wild West Shootout is a youth soccer tournament hosted by Carson FC at Pete Livermore Sports Complex in Carson City, Nevada. The 2026 edition runs May 15–17. The event draws competitive travel teams from across Nevada, Northern California, and neighboring intermountain states, making it one of the primary spring soccer events in northern Nevada. Carson City’s location — roughly equidistant between the Reno metro and the Lake Tahoe corridor — gives the tournament regional accessibility for clubs throughout the Nevada/NorCal border region.
Ownership & Operations
Hosted by Carson FC, the primary youth soccer club based in Carson City, Nevada. Carson FC operates out of the state capital and is the organizing entity for the Wild West Shootout on an annual basis. Registration has historically been administered through GotSoccer / GotSport.
Economics
Entry fees consistent with Nevada and intermountain regional events ($600–$850 per team). Pete Livermore Sports Complex is a municipal facility in Carson City providing multi-field capacity. The tournament serves as Carson FC’s flagship annual revenue event.
Sanctioning
US Club Soccer sanctioned per the US Club Soccer sanctioned tournament list (2026).
Reputation & Tier
Regional Tier 4. The Wild West Shootout fills a calendar gap in northern Nevada between the larger Las Vegas-market events (see vegas-cup, albion-sc-lv-memorial-cup) and the NorCal tournament cluster. It is the anchor spring tournament for the Carson City / Reno corridor clubs.
Notes
Carson City is a small capital-city market with limited youth soccer infrastructure relative to Las Vegas or the Reno metro. Carson FC’s ability to sustain an annual US Club–sanctioned tournament reflects the organizational capacity of a community-scale club serving a geographically isolated market. The Wild West Shootout is distinct from the comstock-shootout, another Carson City–area event with a longer history.
