Washington Youth Soccer (WYSA)
Overview
Washington Youth Soccer (WYSA) is the US Youth Soccer (USYS) member state association for Washington State. One of 54 USYS state associations. Governs recreational and competitive youth soccer statewide. Washington is a mid-tier Pacific Northwest market anchored by the Seattle metro area, with strong ECNL representation and Sounders FC youth academy presence.
Structure
Boys and girls divisions from recreational through state cup competitive tiers across age groups U9–U19. Annual WYSA State Cup qualifies for USYS Regional and National Championships. ODP program feeds into regional player pools.
Player Pathway
State competition sits beneath national platforms (ecnl, mls-next, girls-academy). WYSA provides the registration and state competition infrastructure; elite clubs compete primarily in ECNL and MLS Next.
