Tonka Splash

Overview

Tonka Splash is a major annual youth soccer tournament hosted by Tonka United SA in the Lake Minnetonka region of Minnesota. The 2026 edition is the 20th annual event, scheduled for June 12–14 at multiple venues around Lake Minnetonka. The tournament is open to Boys and Girls traveling, tournament, and recreational-plus teams across competitive age groups. Over 500 teams are anticipated in 2026, consistent with the event’s history of large-field attendance.

Ownership & Operations

Organized and operated by Tonka United Soccer Association, based in the Minnetonka / Lake Minnetonka area of the Twin Cities west metro. Tonka United also runs the Tonka Street Cup and other seasonal events.

Sanctioning

Sanctioned by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). The event is tobacco, alcohol, and drug-free per tournament policy.

Reputation & Tier

Tier 2–3 regional showcase event. At 500+ teams, the Tonka Splash is one of the largest tournaments in the Minnesota / upper Midwest youth soccer calendar. The 20th anniversary edition in 2026 marks it as one of the most established events in the region.

Notes
